After being in a mental health facility for 30 days, American singer Britney Spears, may not be “physically, mentally, and passionately ready” to return to the music scene anytime soon. The singer’s manager has said.
Britney, who is also an actress, may not also go ahead with the shows she was supposed to shoot in her Vegas home in February this year.
“As the person who guides her career, based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis, it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again,” Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, told TMZ.
The American singer became very devastated last year when she almost lost her father Jamie from her raptured colon in November 2019. Consequently, Britney cancelled all her shows and rehearsals.
“Last summer, when she wanted to tour, she called me every day. She was excited. She hasn’t called me in months. She clearly doesn’t want to perform now,” Larry said.
Britney’s manager continued to say that he has “no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work. And, if she ever does want to work again, I’m here to tell her if it’s a good idea or a bad idea.”
The singer’s father forced her into a mental health hospital and to take medication. Therefore, Britney’s mum, Lynne, has gone to court to amend a 2008 ruling that gave Britney’s dad sole power to run her affairs due to her fragile mental state. Lynne, who divorced with Britney’s dad in 2002, wants a role in her daughter’s conservatorship.
According to The Sun, “the court said an expert must evaluate her mental state before any decision.”
